About Kya Dalton
Founder and Event Planner
Kya Dalton, owner and lead planner, is passionate about good conversation, life long learning, community building, functional AND beautiful design, group dynamics and leaving a legacy that future generations can build upon.
The choices we make during the planning stages have a tremendous impact during and after the event. Green event planning is a responsible way to do business, and Kya wants her clients, vendors and suppliers to share this regenerative value. She can help develop strategies to bring sustainability into your event and activities. Let's leave a positive impact together!
Before entrepreneurship, Kya studied Event Management at the Northern Alberta Institue of Technology and worked as the Venue Manager for Spark Event Centre. In 2017, she launched Kinnect Events. The healing that is possible when you gather a group of human beings around a shared purpose is the root of her passion and drive.
With a background in carpentry, this event planner is keen on events that build! Whether that's making business connections or permaculture gardens, Kya is thrilled to break open the box and plan useful, original events tailored around your specific needs. Using an existing event formula may be tempting but is rarely effective in delivering your message, or connecting with your audience.
Kya Dalton can plan your island events to be meaningful, memorable and efficient. Take the stress out of your event experience by hiring a clear and friendly professional. Past clients include the City of Revelstoke, Revelstoke Local Food Initiative, Revelstoke Rotary Club, MiTek Industries and more. Kya has also worked in various event roles such as Event & Sponsorship Coordinator for the Edmonton Valley Zoo Development Society, and Site Crew Supervisor for Shambhala Music Festival in 2019.
In 2019 she sat on the board of the North Columbia Environmental Society as Director of Events and Sustainable Living. Her most recent community project has been working closely with Transition Salt Spring to develop a "Green Events Guide & Business Directory". Kya enjoyed giving back to the community and collaborating with the movers and shakers. If you have an event or mission for change in mind, don't hesitate to get in touch.
